Every Item, Remastered — Hosted Catalogs with AI Catalog Enrichment

A living catalog — it gets smarter every time someone shops.

Provision Connect's Hosted Catalog Module now includes NEXUS Remaster, AI catalog enrichment powered by our agent Auggie. Upload a bare-bones supplier catalog — part numbers, short descriptions, prices — and Auggie remasters every item into a complete product page: a clean title, full description, specs, images, and a product video when one exists. Your negotiated price and original data stay untouched. Point Auggie at a whole catalog, or let it remaster the items your buyers actually search, view and buy — so the catalog improves right where people shop.

AI catalog enrichment is the automated process of turning a bare supplier record — a part number, a short description, a price — into a complete product listing, so buyers can actually find and evaluate what they need. In Provision Connect, Auggie does it: 11,700+ items and counting, each remastered with a title, description, specifications, images, a product video when one exists, market pricing and a review summary.

Watch Auggie remaster a bare part number into a complete product page

This is the exact flow every item takes. No mockups — drag the divider to compare the original supplier record with the remastered one.

On the left, the original supplier record: the title is an abbreviated uppercase description, there is no image, and the description, specifications and media tabs are empty. On the right, the remastered record: a full product title, a product image, a six-row specifications table, a buyer-friendly description, market pricing and a product video, labelled Remastered by Auggie, with nine fields added.

Two ways to remaster your catalog: point Auggie at it, or let demand drive it

Most clients use both — a targeted pass on day one, then demand-triggered enrichment keeps the catalog improving forever.

Targeted enrichment: an administrator selects a supplier catalog of 4,212 items and Auggie works through every item until all are remastered.

4,212items remastered
Acme Safety Supply · targeted pass

Targeted catalog enrichment

Point Auggie at a catalog and walk away. Pick a supplier, a category, or an entire hosted catalog. Auggie works through every item and reports back when it is done — ideal for a new supplier onboarding or a catalog you already know is thin.

Demand-triggered enrichment: a buyer searches for n95 respirator and opens a sparse result. Auggie queues the item, and on the next visit the same record is complete and labelled Remastered by Auggie.

You did not lift a finger.

Demand-triggered enrichment On by default

Auggie pays attention to what your buyers do. Search for an item, open its detail page, or buy it, and Auggie queues it for enrichment. The next time anyone looks, the record is complete — your catalog gets better in exactly the places people are shopping, with no manual upkeep.

Why a remastered catalog wins more of your spend

Better data where buyers shop means fewer off-contract purchases and faster, more confident ordering.

Buyers find what they need

Full titles, descriptions and specifications mean search actually works. Fewer “I could not find it, so I bought it off-contract” moments — and fewer support tickets to fix bad listings.

Suppliers do not have to send perfect data

Load the catalog you have today. Auggie does the cleanup that used to take a catalog team weeks — roughly ~30 seconds per item, unattended, at about $0.14 of AI compute each.

The original is never touched

A remaster adds; it never replaces. Your negotiated price, your approved-item list, your supplier's source data and your approval workflow stay exactly as they are.

Confidence you can audit

Every remastered record shows the sources Auggie used and a confidence score — and when it cannot confirm an exact part-number match, it flags low confidence instead of guessing. Buyers see where the data came from, and your original supplier record stays intact behind it, always recoverable.

From a bare part number to a complete product page in about 30 seconds

1

Items arrive

Through a CIF (Catalog Interchange Format) or spreadsheet upload, a supplier feed, or a buyer interaction on the NEXUS Gateway (the buyer-facing shopping experience in Provision Connect).

2

Auggie is triggered

By an administrator's targeted request, or automatically and event-driven by a search, view or purchase — so effort follows real demand.

3

Auggie researches & enriches

It reads the item, researches the manufacturer and reputable resellers, writes buyer-friendly descriptions, gathers specifications, finds a verified image and a product video when one exists, and collects market pricing and review context.

4

The record is remastered

Enriched fields are stored alongside the original, tenant-scoped, with source citations and a confidence score — the original supplier record stays intact and recoverable.

5

Buyers see the enriched page

The next search, view or cart-add shows the complete record. A price-refresh cycle keeps market pricing current over time.

Frequently asked questions about AI catalog enrichment

What is AI catalog enrichment?

AI catalog enrichment is the automated process of turning a bare supplier catalog record — a part number, a short description and a price — into a complete product listing. An AI agent researches each item across manufacturer and reseller sources and adds a buyer-friendly title, a full description, specifications, images and more, so buyers can actually find and evaluate what they need.

What data does Auggie add to a catalog item?

For each item, Auggie adds a normalized product title and manufacturer part number, a buyer-friendly short and long description, a specifications table, product images, a marketing or how-to video when one exists, unit-of-measure normalization, market-price references from several sellers, and a summary of real customer reviews — every record with source citations and a confidence score.

Does NEXUS Remaster change my negotiated pricing, approved items or original supplier data?

No. A remaster adds a complete version alongside the original; it never overwrites it. Your negotiated price, your approved-item list, your supplier's source data and your approval workflow stay exactly as they are. The enriched record lives in a separate store, so the original is always intact and recoverable.

Can I choose which catalogs Auggie enriches?

Yes. An administrator can point Auggie at a specific supplier, a category, or an entire hosted catalog and it works through every item — ideal for onboarding a new supplier or refreshing a catalog you already know is thin. You keep full control over what gets enriched and when.

What is demand-triggered enrichment?

Demand-triggered enrichment is on by default. Auggie watches what buyers actually do on the NEXUS Gateway — the items they search for, view and purchase — and queues those items for enrichment automatically. The next time anyone opens the item, the record is already complete, so your catalog improves exactly where people are shopping, with nobody managing it.

How is enriched data kept accurate over time?

Every enriched record carries the sources Auggie used and a confidence score, and a price-refresh cycle re-checks market pricing so records do not go stale after a supplier change. Auggie only reports what it can verify across reputable sources; when it cannot confirm an exact part-number match it flags low confidence rather than guessing.

Is enriched data shared between clients?

No. Enrichment is tenant-scoped. Every enriched record is tied to the client datasource and tenant it belongs to, so one organization's catalog enrichment is never visible in another's. Your data and your buyers' behavior stay yours.

How does this compare to catalog enrichment in Coupa, Ariba or Jaggaer?

NEXUS Remaster is not a bolt-on enrichment service — Auggie lives inside the same platform that hosts your catalogs and runs your buying, so it learns from real buyer demand and improves the exact items people shop, automatically. Capabilities in Coupa, Ariba and Jaggaer vary — check each vendor's current documentation, and see our platform comparison for a side-by-side.
